KPC is a nonprofit child care organization in Shelby County and is recognized as a leader in the field of early childhood education. We have delivered on our promise to provide high quality, comprehensive services for all children with a focus on the discipleship of our staff and students.

Volunteers play a valued role in a variety of positions throughout the Program. We strive to fully engage our volunteers’ capacity to supplement and enhance the delivery of services to children and families, provide more one-on-one interaction with children, enable the paid staff to be more productive, offer their unique skills and guidance, and increase the overall quality of our programs.

OPPORTUNITIES

Early Educational Student Support Volunteer

An EESSV will volunteer in the classroom or will be directly interacting with children. Background checks will be administered.

Duties of an EESSV may include, but are not limited to:

Reading to children, helping children who need support, interact in centers, listen to children read, engaging in learning through intentional play, etc.

Training will be required throughout your volunteering commitment as needed.

Early Educational Classroom Volunteer  

An EECV is defined as someone who wishes to indirectly support the overall well-being of a classroom. He or she on occasion may enter a classroom but does not prefer spending a regular amount of time in the classroom directly interacting with children.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

changing bulletin boards, making photocopies, sorting & organizing, conducting research on upcoming lessons, etc.

Background checks will be administered.

Training will be required throughout your volunteering commitment as needed.

Early Educational Administrative Volunteer

An EEAV is defined as someone who will support them in administrative duties. He or she will support the Director and/or Assistant Director.

Duties may include but are not limited to: filing paperwork, answering phones, data entry, assembling enrollment kits, stuffing envelopes, etc.

Background checks will be administered.

Training will be required throughout your volunteering commitment as needed.
